https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_repressions_of_Polish_citizens_(1939%E2%80%931946)#Mass_deportations_to_the_East

7. Можем и повторить.

In less than five months, President Donald Trump has reversed a trend that accelerated under former President Joe Biden — mainly that nearly all new jobs went to foreign-born workers who had recently arrived in the United States.

The latest Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data reveals that since Trump took office in late January, all net job growth has gone to native-born Americans.

{snip}

Compared to May last year, when Biden was still president, nearly 1.4 million more native-born Americans held jobs in May of this year, a total reversal of labor trends.

Similarly, the BLS data shows that the number of foreign-born workers who have left the U.S. workforce totals about a million from March to May of this year

“That was the biggest two-month decline in the foreign-born labor force since the early days of the pandemic,” the Wall Street Journal notes. “Some economists pointed to that decline as an indication that more unauthorized workers are exiting the labor force.”

President Trump announced Tuesday that he will restore the names of Fort Robert E. Lee and six other military bases that formerly honored Confederate war leaders.

“For a little breaking news, we are also going to be restoring the names to Fort Pickett [in Virginia], Fort Hood [in Texas], Fort Gordon [in Georgia], Fort Rucker [in Alabama], Fort Polk [in Louisiana], Fort A.P. Hill [in Virginia] and Fort Robert E. Lee [also in Virginia],” Trump said in a speech at Fort Bragg in North Carolina marking the US Army’s 250th anniversary.

“We won a lot of battles out of those forts. It’s no time to change. And I’m superstitious, you know, I like to keep it going, right? I’m very superstitious,” Trump said.

{snip}

The base that hosted Trump was itself recently renamed — though in that case, the Army in February restored its original moniker to honor World War II paratrooper and Silver Star recipient Roland Bragg rather than Confederate general Braxton Bragg.

Former President Joe Biden renamed the bases honoring the Confederates in 2023 — with Bragg, the nation’s largest base, briefly known as Fort Liberty instead.

{snip}

It’s unclear whether Trump requires fresh legal authority to restore the names — particularly those of Fort A.P. Hill and Fort Robert E. Lee, which he implied would not be rechristened in honor of someone of the same surname.

There’s a growing call across the US, loud, unapologetic, and long overdue: End all third-world immigration. Legal or illegal. Just shut it down.

What used to be whispered is now shouted by millions. Why is that? Because people are watching their communities fall apart in real time. Thanks to Biden’s open border invasion, over 7.2 million illegals have poured into the US. That’s more than the population of 36 states. And Americans are waking up to a very hard truth: we’re importing the Third World, and we’re becoming the Third World as a result.

It started with this powerful post from conservative podcaster Matt Walsh, where he said we can’t be the world’s soup kitchen anymore.

Look:

Charlie Kirk added to the debate with this post that basically says, “Sorry, we’re full.”

Look:

Many Americans are getting behind the idea of banning all immigration, especially after what we’re seeing in LA. The streets are filled with masked men and women rioting and waving foreign flags, and the message is painfully clear: this isn’t about America anymore.

U.S. Rep. LaMonica McIver was indicted Tuesday on federal charges alleging she assaulted and interfered with immigration officers outside a New Jersey detention center while Newark’s mayor was being arrested after he tried to join a congressional oversight visit at the facility.

Acting U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba announced the grand jury indictment in a post on X.

{snip}

McIver, a Democrat, was charged in a complaint by Habba last month with two assault charges stemming from the May 9 visit to Newark’s Delaney Hall — a 1,000-bed, privately owned facility that Immigration and Customs Enforcement uses as a detention center.

The indictment includes three counts of assaulting, resisting, impeding and interfering with federal officials. Habba said two of the counts carry a maximum sentence of up to eight years in prison. A third has a maximum sentence of one year.

{snip}

At the same visit that resulted in McIver’s charges, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested on a trespassing charge, which was later dropped. Baraka is suing Habba over what he said was a malicious prosecution.

A nearly two-minute clip released by the Homeland Security Department shows McIver on the facility side of a chain-link fence just before the arrest of the mayor on the street side of the fence, where other people had been protesting. She and uniformed officials go through the gate, and she joins others shouting that they should circle the mayor. The video shows McIver in a tightly packed group of people and officers. At one point, her left elbow and then her right elbow push into an officer wearing a dark face covering and an olive green uniform emblazoned with the word “Police” on it.

{snip}

The indictment says she placed her arms around the mayor to block his arrest and repeats the charges that she slammed her forearm into an agent and grabbed the agent.

The government of Kosovo reportedly agreed this week to “temporarily” accept a small number of migrants deported from the United States until they can be returned to their home countries.

Government spokesman Perparim Kryeziu told Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) on Wednesday that up to 50 migrants will be accepted, for up to one year, with the goal of “facilitating their safe return to their country of origin.”

“The government has expressed its willingness to engage, with the possibility of selecting individuals from a proposed list, as long as they meet certain criteria related to the rule of law and public order,” Kryeziu said.

Bloomberg News reported last week that the State Department is putting out feelers to Balkan nations, including Serbia, Moldova, and Kosovo, to accept deported illegal aliens.

{snip}

As it turned out, Kosovo was the first country to accept U.S. requests to house deportees. This could be a point of some friction with Serbia, since Kosovo seceded from Serbia in 2008, and the Serbian government does not recognize its independence.

{snip}

Kosovo is holding similar discussions with the United Kingdom and has already agreed to house criminals who were deported from Denmark.

{snip}

The deal with Denmark involves a prison in the eastern Kosovar city of Gjilan. The facility is currently being emptied of domestic inmates so it can be expanded and upgraded to meet Danish penal standards. When the renovations are complete, Denmark plans to house about 300 deported criminals from non-European Union countries in the facility.

{snip}

Italy was the first European country to actually send deported migrants to Eastern Europe, transferring 40 rejected asylum seekers to Albania in April. Italian law would permit the migrants to be detained for up to 18 months before final deportation.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had planned to send a much larger contingent of migrants to camps in Albania, but Italian court rulings obliged her to send only migrants whose application for asylum have been decisively rejected.

{snip}

Kosovo previously agreed to accept several hundred refugees from Afghanistan after President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

Some of the Afghans were not happy with their accommodations, which they described as more akin to a prison than a refugee camp. {snip}

On June 8 and 9, Italians were asked to vote on five referendum questions, each pushed by the political left. Four aimed to tighten labor protections, such as making it easier to reinstate fired workers and restricting the use of fixed-term contracts. The fifth proposed a dramatic shift in the meaning of Italian citizenship, reducing the residency requirement from 10 years to five for non-EU citizens with no Italian ancestry.

All five measures failed — not because a majority voted “no,” but because most people didn’t vote at all.

Under Italian law, a referendum must get over 50 percent turnout to be valid. A lower turnout means results are void regardless of the number of “yes” votes. Since Italy’s postwar constitution established this rule, abstention has become the preferred strategy for defeating referenda. In fact, most referenda have been stopped due to people staying home.

That’s exactly what happened here. National turnout came in at just over 30 percent, far short of the required threshold. This wasn’t apathy or confusion. It was a deliberate strategy, especially on the political right and center, whose leaders urged supporters to stay home. While most observers expected turnout to fall short, few predicted how low it would be.

As Lorenzo Pregliasco of YouTrend told SkyTG24, “This is a low figure, below the expectations and targets set by the promoters.” The Left had hoped to spark a movement. Instead, it ran into a wall of calculated silence.

Credit Image: © Alessandro Fucarini/IPA via ZUMA Press

The small segment of the electorate that did show up was overwhelmingly left-leaning — those most likely to support the reforms. And for the four labor-related questions, they did: Each got between 85.8 percent and 87.6 percent of votes.

But the citizenship measure collapsed, getting just 65.3 percent. This 20-percent difference is the real story.

Even within the most favorable voting pool, one-third of participants refused to support easing access to citizenship. These weren’t center-right skeptics. These were staunch leftists who showed up to strengthen labor protections, and voted near unanimously.

The measure would have immediately made around 2.5 million more foreigners eligible for citizenship, including many long-term non-European residents with no cultural, ethnic, or ancestral ties to Italy. It would have dramatically accelerated a demographic and cultural shift already underway, and voters knew it.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni herself went to the polls but declined to vote, signaling that abstention, not outright opposition, was the preferred tactic. In Italy, this isn’t cowardice. It’s a proven veto, and it worked as intended.

In killing this initiative, Italians showed they’re paying attention. Western Europe embraced mass immigration and easy naturalization, assuming assimilation would follow. Instead, it imported parallel societies, cultural fragmentation, and long-term instability. The Italian public will not support dissolving their national identity through naturalization gimmicks.

Italy still has the legal and institutional tools to preserve its cultural and ethnic continuity, and people just used one. Now, the burden shifts to the Meloni government. If it continues to stall on meaningful reform of citizenship, migration, and national cohesion, it won’t be because it lacks support — but because it lacks will.

The sea of red, white and green Mexican flags at anti-deportation protests this week in Los Angeles has been seized upon by conservatives who argue that the demonstrations are inherently un-American, causing some protesters to consider leaving them at home.

Photos of masked provocateurs waving Mexican flags atop burning Waymo taxis spread instantly across conservative social media this weekend. Republicans pointed to them as a prime example of why President Trump called in the National Guard and how immigration had gone too far in California.

“Look at all the foreign flags,” Stephen Miller, the deputy White House chief of staff and the architect of Mr. Trump’s domestic agenda, said Sunday on X. “Los Angeles is occupied territory.”

{snip}

But protesters said this week that they see the Mexican flag as a symbol of defiance against Mr. Trump’s immigration policies or of solidarity with other Mexican Americans. The flag has become so ubiquitous in recent decades that it is a part of the Southern California landscape, adorning pickup trucks and flapping from bridges. Few mass gatherings occur in the region without a Mexican flag or two, from weekend soccer matches to Los Angeles Dodgers championship parades.

This week, those who kept waving them said that it was important to honor their heritage and not acquiesce to Mr. Trump, even while they recognized the potential political cost. They said that the flag to them was not un-American, that it represented their Chicano roots rather than a national allegiance.

{snip}

Still, the optics at protests have caused California activists to ask themselves whether their flag choice was only providing more fodder for Mr. Trump as he pursued an immigration crackdown. On social media, some progressives suggested that protesters should replace their foreign flags with American ones, knowing that their rallies were being aired nationally each night.

{snip}

California has had this debate before. In the 1990s, Gov. Pete Wilson sought to end public benefits for undocumented immigrants, making arguments similar to those expressed by Mr. Trump today. At the time, white people were the majority in the state, but it was projected to become a Latino plurality, which it did in 2014.

Mr. Wilson championed Proposition 187, a 1994 ballot measure that would have banned public services for undocumented Californians. Mike Madrid, the author of “The Latino Century: How America’s Largest Minority Is Transforming Democracy” and a Republican political consultant, said the ubiquity of Mexican flags against the measure so alienated the state’s voters that it tipped the election.

Donald Trump is set to deploy ICE tactical units to five Democrat-run cities amid the riots in Los Angeles as Gavin Newsom nearly broke into tears while blaming his administration for inciting the California chaos.

The military-style units are set to storm New York City, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia and northern Virginia, MSNBC reported. Four of those five are heavily blue cities, while northern Virginia contains the Democrat enclave of Alexandria.

The ICE raids have sparked protests that brought Los Angeles to its knees, as the mayor opted to introduce a lockdown from 8pm to 6am.

The reports came as the California governor delivered a harrowing prediction for the rest of the country Tuesday night in a nationally televised address that blasted Trump’s deployment of US troops to Los Angeles.

‘Look, this isn’t just about protests here in Los Angeles, when Donald Trump sought blanket authority to commandeer the National Guard. He made that order apply to every state in this nation,’ Newsom said, as he teared up.

‘This is about all of us. This is about you. California may be first, but it clearly will not end here. Other states are next. Democracy is next. Democracy is under assault before our eyes, this moment we have feared has arrived.’

{snip}

As the governor delivered his teary address, the President was greeting US military personnel at Fort Bragg.

He was in North Carolina to recognise the 250th anniversary of the US Army, but spent much of the speech defending the decision to deploy soldiers against ‘animals’ and ‘foreign enemies’ protesting against ICE arrests in LA.

‘What you’re witnessing in California is a full blown assault on peace, on public order and national sovereignty… with the aim of continuing a foreign invasion of our country. We’re not gonna let that happen,’ he said.

‘We will not allow an American city to be invaded and conquered by a foreign enemy. That’s what they are.’

The president went on to call LA ‘a trash heap’ with ‘entire neighborhoods under control’ of criminals, adding the government would ‘use every asset at our disposal to quell the violence and restore law and order.’

‘We will liberate Los Angeles and make it free, clean and safe again,’ Trump said.

{snip}

Some of what has happened in Los Angeles has spread to the rest of the country.

In New York, at least 45 people were arrested Tuesday as thousands of demonstrators took to the streets near Foley Square in Manhattan, The New York Post reported.

The NYPD ordered a level three authorization against the marchers, many of whom also carried Palestinian flags in addition to signs calling for the abolishment of ICE.

Police pepper sprayed some of the demonstrators, while they threw water bottles at officers.

{snip}

Thousands of protesters also took to the streets of downtown Chicago, vandalizing cars and clashing with police on Tuesday.

A driver plowed into a group of protesters in the Loop, striking at least one pedestrian, as thousands marched through downtown Chicago protesting the Trump administration’s ongoing immigration raids.

{snip}

In Portland, a small group of protesters set up camp outside an ICE facility and said they weren’t leaving until their claims were addressed, KGW reported.

Tons of marchers were also seen in the liberal city of Austin in deep red Texas.

And in Atlanta, video showed protesters throwing fireworks at police officers as tear gas was seen being deployed.

{snip}

LAPD squads in riot gear began storming the streets immediately surrounding the Federal Building on Los Angeles St. in downtown Los Angeles shortly after Mayor Karen Bass’s 8pm curfew went into effect.

Police cars blocked off streets and uniformed officers fast marched to the location. Agitators were forced back half a block from the location but still swarmed the area.

The intense tactical operation continued as officers, including mounted police, created so-called skirmish lines to push rioters away from other other federal building on the same block.

French nationalist politician Marine Le Pen launched a scathing attack on the trajectory of the European Union at the Patriots for Europe rally in France on Monday, declaring, “We don’t want to leave Europe. We want out of this Europe, because it is not Europe.”

Addressing a crowd of allies and supporters from across the continent, Le Pen opened her speech with a rejection of the EU’s current direction, accusing it of becoming a “merchant, wokist, ultraliberal empire” that tramples national sovereignty and democratic choice.

“Our Europe does not reside in Brussels,” Le Pen said. “What we are seeing today on our continent is in no way European. It is a counterfeit, a cold, fleshless, soulless machine.” She accused the European Union of replacing citizens with “interchangeable masses,” nations with “administered regions,” and elected leaders with “provincial governors.”

Framing the current political moment as a turning point in European history, Le Pen warned, “This is no ordinary hour. This is not just a political step. It is a fracture in history, a moment of truth where much more than the fate of a mandate or a parliament is at stake. What is at stake here is the freedom of peoples, the dignity of peoples, the existence of our nations.”

Her speech celebrated the formation of the Patriots for Europe group in the European Parliament, now the third-largest bloc, comprising nationalist and conservative parties, including the Netherlands’ PVV, Hungary’s Fidesz, Austria’s FPÖ, Italy’s Lega, and Spain’s Vox. “This group is as united as the fingers of one hand, united by a shared vision of life and the world, but also united by a great political project for our homelands and our Europe,” she told the crowd.

She paid tribute to allies like Hungary’s Viktor Orbán — calling Hungary “a beacon nation in Europe” —and Geert Wilders, praising the Dutch leader for collapsing the Dutch government last week after a row over asylum policy. “Because Geert Wilders chose to leave the coalition government precisely to prevent his country from being flooded with immigrants,” she said.

Le Pen also accused Brussels of silencing critics, warning that opposition voices were increasingly being criminalized. “In this European Union, as you will have noticed, any assertion of identity becomes an offense. Any desire for sovereignty is heresy. Any idea of freedom is suspect. Any criticism is labeled a conspiracy. Any opposition is branded as subversion, criminalized, and prosecuted.”

She warned that Europe’s bureaucratic elite were preparing for war while ignoring domestic insecurity. “All the European Parliament’s thematic committees are actively, I would say compulsively, preparing for a war in the east,” she said. “We, the peoples of Europe, who know the price of blood, do not want war.”

Taking aim at French President Emmanuel Macron, she mocked his posturing on the international stage while violence and chaos go unaddressed at home. “Who can seriously believe that Emmanuel Macron’s France could wage a major war when he is already incapable of managing the chaos that reigns on match nights 200 meters from the Élysée Palace?”

Calling for a rebirth of European civilization based on “democracy, identity, and technology,” she promised that any future transfer of powers in the EU would require a referendum and that no new country should be admitted without a vote.

“We will make free trade agreements conditional on social justice, respect for our standards, and fair protection for our industries. Above all, we will give the people of Europe back their most sacred right to choose who comes into their country and who stays,” she said.

Le Pen closed with a call to action, “The future belongs to those who fight, not to those who comment, not to those who lie down, but to those who stand up. So yes, Europe can still be reborn, but only on one condition: that its children fight for it… Long live the Patriots for Europe! Long live the nations and long live a Europe of free peoples.”

The German internal ministry and the country’s domestic intelligence agency BfV on Tuesday, June 6th, released a report showing a sharp increase in politically motivated extremist crimes, particularly on the Right. Unsurprisingly, it has now become the biggest topic in German mainstream media, fueling a public discourse about banning the national conservative AfD, the country’s largest opposition party.

However, a closer look at the statistics—and at the aspects the legacy media conspicuously ignores— reveals a different picture, exposing the establishment’s agenda to smear the Right, hidden in plain sight.

The main figure reported everywhere is that crimes classified as being motivated by right-wing extremism have risen by 47.4% in one year, from around 30,000 in 2023 to 43,000 in 2024.

All mainstream outlets would have you believe that this is solely due to the hateful discourse of the AfD. However, the reality is different: two-thirds (nearly 64%) of these crimes are so-called “propaganda offences,” which primarily cover the dissemination of banned hate symbols—the swastika, in most cases—in the public domain.

And since these offenses are automatically classified as “right-wing” in almost all cases (with the very few exceptions when the perpetrators are identified and explicitly state another motive), the majority seems to be related to left-wing vandalism.

The conservative outlet Apollo News contacted both the federal and state-level police, who confirmed that swastikas painted on right-wing campaign material—such as AfD or CDU election posters—also count as “right-wing extremist” propaganda offenses, because they’re classified as “trivialization” of Nazi ideology, regardless of the obvious, left-wing motivation.

The same goes for vandalizing party headquarters, politicians’ homes, or even Teslas; as long as a swastika or any other Nazi imagery is involved—like a ‘Hitler moustache’ or the word ‘Nazi’—the incident is logged as a “right-wing” hate crime.

Furthermore, while physical or verbal violence still constitutes an insignificant part (3.4%) of the total number, the majority of the remaining one-third is online hate speech, which again is subjective, and in many cases involves only the criticism of the government and its policies.

At the same time, the media is silent about the other aspect of the BfV report: the 38% rise in left-wing extremist crimes, and most importantly, the 46.6% rise in crimes motivated by “foreign ideologies”—almost the same increase as in the alleged right-wing crime.

This separate categorization is dishonest in itself, as the two could be merged: two-thirds of the crimes of ‘foreign ideologies’ have either a pro-Palestinian or anti-Israel motive, while the rest are mostly Islamist or Turkish-extremist motivated, with the left-wing antisemitism being the prominent link between all of these groups.

What’s more, these incidents are significantly more serious than the average “right-wing” crimes, with physical violence constituting 13%, and property damage another 17% of “foreign” motivated crimes, both nearly doubling compared to the year before.

The goal of this coordinated smear campaign is clear: manufacturing public support for banning the AfD, which only seems like a question of time now. This goal has been pursued for months by both the BfV—which was recently forced to walk back its “extremist” classification for the party as its bogus report was leaked—and the government, which has been hinting at it ever since the AfD rose to the first place in the polls in April.

Concern about mass migration is a “terrorist ideology” that requires intervention by the Government’s anti-radicalisation Prevent programme, according to official documents.

An online training course hosted on the Government’s website for Prevent lists “cultural nationalism” as a belief that could lead to an individual being referred to the deradicalisation scheme.

This encompasses a conviction that “Western culture is under threat from mass migration and a lack of integration by certain ethnic and cultural groups”, staff taking the course are told.

It is the latest example of officials, police and the courts appearing to restrict free speech.

In recent weeks, The Telegraph has disclosed that a pensioner was wrongly arrested for warning of anti-Semitism on Twitter, as well as highlighting the case of a man who was given a criminal sentence for burning the Koran.

The Prevent programme was the subject of a damning report two years ago and failed to stop Axel Rudakubana, the Southport killer, who was referred to it on three separate occasions.

Free speech critics warned that the definition of “cultural nationalism” was too widely drawn and could, in theory, mean that even Sir Keir Starmer and Robert Jenrick, the shadow justice secretary, would fall foul for their past comments.

Others at risk of being labelled extremists could include Douglas Murray, the bestselling author, who has written extensively on migration, as well as Matthew Goodwin, the academic-turned-GB News broadcaster, campaigners said.

A Home Office spokesman said: “Prevent is not about restricting debate or free speech, but about protecting those susceptible to radicalisation.”

Lord Young, the general secretary of the Free Speech Union (FSU), has written to Yvette Cooper, the Home Secretary, urging her to reconsider the classification urgently.

He claimed that anyone referred to Prevent could face “serious, long-lasting consequences” for their education, employment and public reputation.

Prevent aims to identify people at risk of turning to terrorism, who are then referred to the programme, where agencies work to divert them from radicalisation. The personal details of those referred are retained on Prevent databases for at least six years and duplicated across police and intelligence systems.

Schools, universities, hospitals and other public sector bodies have a legal duty to stop people from being drawn into terrorism. Each year, thousands of teachers, police officers, health workers and other staff undergo Prevent training.

Prevent’s official “refresher awareness” course, hosted on gov.uk, states that “cultural nationalism” is one of the most common “sub-categories of extreme Right-wing terrorist ideologies”, alongside white supremacism and white/ethno-nationalism.

In a letter to Ms Cooper, Lord Young said this was a “matter of serious concern”.

He said: “While not defined in law, nor subject to statutory constraint, the definition in the training course expands the scope of suspicion to include individuals whose views are entirely lawful but politically controversial.

“Now that ‘cultural nationalism’ has been classified as a subcategory of extreme Right-wing terrorist ideology, even mainstream, Right-of-centre beliefs risk being treated as ideologically suspect, despite falling well within the bounds of lawful expression.

“Topics captured under the Prevent category of ‘cultural nationalism’ include widely held views, ranging from concerns about immigration and social cohesion to the belief that integration should be a policy priority, and that shared cultural norms help sustain a liberal society.”

Lord Young suggested the definition could even capture Mr Jenrick, the former immigration minister, who has previously warned that “excessive, uncontrolled migration threatens to cannibalise the compassion of the British public.”

Senior Labour politicians could also fall within the scope of the definition, he claimed. Lord Young cited Sir Keir’s recent statement that without fair immigration rules, “we risk becoming an island of strangers, not a nation that walks forward together.”

There are growing fears that police are wrongly seeking to limit free speech.

The Telegraph disclosed last month that Julian Foulkes, a retired police officer, was arrested and detained over a social media post warning about the threat of anti-Semitism. Officers who conducted a search of his house described a collection of books by authors such as Mr Murray as “very Brexity”. Mr Foulkes later received an apology and £20,000 compensation.

Last year, Allison Pearson, the Telegraph columnist, was questioned at home by two officers over an X post following pro-Palestinian protests.

The Telegraph has also covered the case of Hamit Koskun, who was fined this week for burning a Koran. It led Mr Jenrick to accuse the courts of reviving blasphemy law.

Lord Young said the course material appeared to reflect a shift in the Prevent approach from focusing on conduct – such as acquiring weapons or inciting violence – to “treating ideology itself as a risk indicator, encompassing belief, alignment or political attitude”.

He said the FSU had already had to support members referred to Prevent, including a 24-year-old autistic man whose social worker reported that he had been viewing “offensive and anti-trans” websites and “focusing on lots of Right-wing dark comedy”.

Prevent referral could stain person’s name

Even if a person was subsequently deemed to require “no further action”, their name would risk remaining on police and other databases that could be accessed by MI5, MI6, the Home Office, Border Force, HMRC, the Charity Commission and local safeguarding teams.

Lord Young said: “There are multiple documented cases in which individuals referred to Prevent – despite not meeting the threshold for further action – suffered serious and lasting consequences simply because their names were logged in the system.”

The row comes despite a report by Sir William Shawcross, a former independent reviewer of Prevent, which criticised the way that mainstream literature and even a former Cabinet minister had been described as “cultural nationalists” by a Home Office research unit on extremism. The minister was later revealed as Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg.

Sir William recommended that Prevent must be “consistent in the threshold that it applies across ideologies to ensure a proportionate and effective response.”

He added that there were major failings with Prevent more broadly, including that it wrongly funnelled money to extremist organisations and had repeatedly failed to identify people who went on to carry out terrorist attacks.

Lord Carlile, a former independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, said: “It is a very difficult job that the Home Office has to do, but maybe they should do a careful bit of editing so that people who are close to the political mainstream are not caught up in it.”

A former government adviser said the “cultural nationalism” definition was “pretty shoddy”.

“Agencies like counter-terrorism police and MI5 are much more rigorous in their classifications,” they said. “We are talking about Right-wing extremists, who are often neo-Nazis. It undermines the seriousness of what counter-extremism is all about.”

Professor Ian Acheson, a former government adviser on extremism, said: “We are now beginning to see the consequences of a referral mechanism built on training like this which skews away from suspicion by conduct to the mere possession of beliefs that are perfectly legitimate but regarded by Prevent policy wonks as ‘problematic.’”

A few simple calculations indicate that as much as one-quarter of U.S. public school enrollment could be anchor babies, meaning children with at least one parent illegally present in the United States. This alone amounts to at least $145.6 billion in public resources diverted from U.S. citizens every year.

Here’s the math. In April, the Kaiser Family Foundation estimated that 17 percent of school-age children, or nine million kids, in the United States are children of at least one illegal alien. The New York Times has reported on the estimate. Some of these children are also foreign citizens, while some were born in the United States. Under a longstanding court misinterpretation, being born in the United States currently confers U.S. citizenship. Almost no other developed countries confer citizenship solely by birth location.

That’s already one in six kids in the United States who are legally subject to deportation to continue living with their parents. If you also assume that all of this population attends public schools, the percentage is more than 17. That’s because only 80 percent of U.S. kids attend a traditional public school, according to 2024 figures from EdChoice.

There were 50 million school-age kids in the United States in 2024, according to ChildStats.gov (adding in the five-year-olds to match the anchor baby age range and assuming there were 4 million of them, an equal age distribution among the 0-5 figure). Eighty percent of 50 is 40, so 40 million of the total 50 million U.S. kids went to public schools in 2024. Nine million anchor babies out of that total 40 million public-school attendees suggests 22.5 percent of U.S. public school enrollment could be anchor babies.

{snip}

Yes, these are estimates, and some very broad math. If anything, however, official estimates tend underestimate illegal migration, given its, well, illegal and illicit nature. So it’s absolutely within a reasonable range to assume somewhere around a quarter of U.S, public school enrollment is anchor babies.

{snip}

Now for some more math related to the taxpayer costs just of educating these nine million kids who would not be in the United States without lawbreaking. Federal statistics estimate U.S. taxpayers spent an average of $16,280 per student in school year 2020-21, the latest data available.

Nine million anchor babies times $16,280 each is $145.6 billion. Per year. Again, this is probably a lowball figure, for several reasons. First, taxpayer spending per pupil is higher today than in 2020, given the vast “Covid” money shoveled out and the resulting inflation pressuring legislatures to raise education spending for “teachers’ salaries” since then.

Second, the illegal immigrant population disproportionately hides in higher-spending blue states such as California, Illinois, and New York. {snip}

Even at a glance, the differences are obvious. The walls of Ferriday High School are old and worn, surrounded by barbed wire. Just a few miles away, Vidalia High School is clean and bright, with a new library and a crisp blue “V” painted on orange brick.

Ferriday High is 90% Black. Vidalia High is 62% white.

{snip}

The schools are part of Concordia Parish, which was ordered to desegregate 60 years ago and remains under a court-ordered plan to this day. Yet there’s growing momentum to release the district — and dozens of others — from decades-old orders that some call obsolete.

In a remarkable reversal, the Justice Department said it plans to start unwinding court-ordered desegregation plans dating to the Civil Rights Movement. Officials started in April, when they lifted a 1960s order in Louisiana’s Plaquemines Parish. Harmeet Dhillon, who leads the department’s civil rights division, has said others will “bite the dust.”

{snip}

Last year, before President Donald Trump took office, Concordia Parish rejected a Justice Department plan that would have ended its case if the district combined several majority white and majority Black elementary and middle schools.

At a town hall meeting, Vidalia residents vigorously opposed the plan, saying it would disrupt students’ lives and expose their children to drugs and violence. An official from the Louisiana attorney general’s office spoke against the proposal and said the Trump administration likely would change course on older orders.

Accepting the plan would have been a “death sentence” for the district, said Paul Nelson, a former Concordia superintendent. White families would have fled to private schools or other districts, said Nelson, who wants the court order removed.

{snip}

The Trump administration was able to close the Plaquemines case with little resistance because the original plaintiffs were no longer involved — the Justice Department was litigating the case alone. Concordia and an unknown number of other districts are in the same situation, making them vulnerable to quick dismissals.

During his June 9 broadcast, Charlie Kirk used a chart sourced to the white nationalist organization American Renaissance.

The graph shows the decline of the white population in Los Angeles over multiple decades. Kirk displayed the graph after claiming, “This is the great replacement theory” — referring to a white nationalist conspiracy theory — and while saying, “You can see the white population collapse in L.A. That’s intentional. They’ve wanted it that way.”

Kirk has a history of promoting the replacement theory and other racist myths.

{snip}

During this segment, Kirk also called on President Donald Trump to “fully deploy the military in the streets, take back the streets of LA.” Earlier in this show, he said, “We must be unafraid to declare the Insurrection Act of 1807.”

{snip}

CHARLIE KIRK (HOST): We haven’t even talked about reforming our legal system. We need a shutoff of all immigration in this country. Period. End of story. Moratorium. {snip}

What do you see all those different foreign flags? You have the Black liberation flag. I don’t know what that is. Is that the Argentinian flag? Great. And then you have the Palestinian flag. Understand there is intersectionality here. If you want to properly understand the left, you must understand intersectionality. What do the Palestinian pro-Hamas people have to do with the white, liberal, purple-haired jihadis and then also with the La Raza folks with BLM? They all hate Christendom. They hate Western civilization. They hate what we have built. This is a global movement of freaks and misanthropes. {snip}

{snip}

This is the great replacement theory. Remember we talked about how they wanna replace white Anglo-Saxon Christian protestants with Mexican, Nicaraguans, with El Salvadorians. You have seen the result of the great replacement. In California, one in four people have been born outside the U.S. Let me say that again. One in four people in California have been born outside the U.S. You can see the white population collapse in L.A. That’s intentional. They’ve wanted it that way.
